In the past 17+ years, they have helped thousands of LGBTQ+ people around the globe become parents through egg donation, IVF and surrogacy. Their North American branch—Tammuz Family – North America—is focused exclusively on helping intended parents in the United States and Canada navigate their surrogacy journeys with integrity, compassion, and care.

Tammuz Family’s approach is rooted in a belief that every person—regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or relationship status—deserves the chance to build a family. Their U.S. programs are built to meet the unique needs of U.S. and Canadian-based intended parents, from personalized legal guidance and fertility clinic coordination to surrogate matching and securing parental rights after birth.
This commitment is deeply personal for founder Doron Mamet-Meged, a gay dad himself. In a letter to future parents, he recalls, “A number of years ago, my partner and I were in a position similar to yours. We longed for a child.” After pursuing surrogacy in the U.S., Doron found the process overwhelming—medically, legally, and emotionally. Motivated to make the journey easier and more accessible for others, he founded Tammuz. Today, his mission remains clear: “We are here 24/7 to guide and support you on what will no doubt be the most exciting journey of your life!”
This is Doron Mamet-Meged, the founder of the Tammuz Family, along with his wonderful family. The Tammuz Family was born the day their daughter was born.
Daniel and Matthew, new dads from Sacramento, are living proof of that mission. The couple knew they wanted to become parents from the moment they met. “We both come from big families—it was something we always saw for ourselves,” Daniel shared.
But like many LGBTQ+ intended parents, their journey wasn’t without challenges; financial setbacks tested their resolve. With Tammuz Family guiding the process, however, they found clarity, support, and peace of mind. “They truly made the process as stress-free as possible,” said Daniel. “We’d absolutely recommend them.”
In 2023, their dream came true when they welcomed their baby boy. Now, 14 months into parenthood, their lives revolve around the joy of raising a child who lights up every room. “Those tiny smiles might seem so insignificant to some, but seeing my boy light up makes every single one of my days better,” Matthew shares.
Daniel and Matthew’s message to others is simple: “Be patient. The journey might not be fast or easy—but when the time is right, it will all come together.”
