At GWK Academy, we’re committed to helping LGBTQ+ people navigate every path to parenthood — from surrogacy and IVF to adoption and foster care — by connecting them with trusted professionals who share our values. That’s why attending this year’s American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) conference was such an inspiring experience.
The expo hall was enormous, filled with innovative clinics, researchers, and service providers who are shaping the future of reproductive medicine. More importantly, so many of the conversations I had centered around a shared goal: making family building more inclusive, accessible, and affirming for LGBTQ+ people.
It was wonderful to meet so many professionals I’ve known virtually for years — finally connecting in real life with new and longtime partners who are making a difference in this field. And, of course, it was just as special to spend more time with familiar faces and friends who continue to champion this work alongside us.

I left the conference feeling energized, grateful, and hopeful. It’s powerful to witness how far the fertility field has come in embracing LGBTQ+ intended parents — and to be reminded how much further we can go when we work together.
At GWK Academy, we’ll continue doing our part: educating, supporting, and guiding LGBTQ+ people as they build their families, while celebrating the professionals who help make those dreams possible.
