As a three-time egg donor, Kristen Hanson brought firsthand experience of the IVF process to her role as Co-Owner of Simple Surrogacy, As the agency’s Executive Director of Finance and Contracts, she oversees all financial operations including escrow account management. Her expertise in all financial aspects of surrogacy enables her to support clients in budgeting for their surrogacy journey. Finally, her legal expertise includes securing experienced surrogacy attorneys, assisting in contract negotiations, and overseeing essential legal procedures.

• Parenting advice: The best unsolicited parenting advice I ever received was to stop striving for perfection and embrace the chaos. Kids are messy, loud, unpredictable, and completely their own little people, no matter how much you try to control the outcome. Some days will be magical, and others will be pure survival mode—and that’s okay. Don’t stress over milestones, don’t compare your child to others, and don’t lose yourself in the process. Show up, teach kindness, love them fiercely, apologize when you mess up, and remember that one day, you’ll miss even the hardest moments. And most importantly, when in doubt, snacks fix almost everything.
