Dr. Tom Bourdon

For over two decades, Dr. Tom Bourdon (he/him) has been a respected organizational leader dedicated to social impact and advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, with much of his career focused on serving the LGBTQIA+ community.

As a certified coach and founder of Next Level Impact, one of the services Tom offers is a 12-week LGBTQIA+ Family Building Coaching program that equips individuals and couples with the insights, tools, and support they need to navigate family building with clarity and confidence.

Whether exploring adoption, surrogacy, fostering, co-parenting, or other paths to parenthood, the program addresses the unique challenges and considerations LGBTQIA+ clients may encounter.

• Family-building journey: After 12 years together and exploring various paths to parenthood, my husband and I ultimately chose to build our family through adoption. Filled with ups, downs, twists, and turns, we welcomed our son in 2009 and his biological sister in 2011. Supporting prospective parents on their own unique journeys has been a passion and privilege of mine ever since. Because ours is an open adoption, we’ve recently begun navigating the process of connecting our children with their birth mother.
