- Family Building Journey: My husband and I spent a long time exploring different paths to grow our family, and ultimately we knew that foster-to-adopt was the right choice for us. We became foster parents in late 2019, and on December 31st our oldest and youngest sons came home to us. Nine months later, in September 2020, our middle child joined us and completed our family. In May 2023, we had the joy and privilege of officially adopting all three of our boys.

Parenthood will surprise you – sometimes in the best ways, sometimes in the hardest – but always in ways that shape you. Trust the wisdom of other parents. The ones who share the good, the bad, and the in-between often offer the most grounding advice. And remember: the beauty of parenthood is its imperfection. Nothing about it is flawless – and that’s exactly what makes the journey meaningful, unpredictable, and so incredibly rewarding.
