GWK Academy is proud to welcome Conceive Fertility Center (CFC) into our trusted network of vetted family-building partners. Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, CFC has become known for its warm, inclusive, and deeply personal approach to fertility care—thanks in large part to the leadership of founders Dr. Julian Escobar and Dr. Derek Haas, and the dedicated, affirming team they’ve built around them.
Both Dr. Escobar and Dr. Haas have years of experience helping hopeful parents navigate the often complex and emotional journey to biological parenthood. Their clinic is especially attuned to the needs of LGBTQ+ intended parents and provides a space where everyone—regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or relationship status—feels seen, supported, and understood from the very beginning.

Dr. Escobar brings not only his medical training—Harvard and UT Southwestern among them—but also the perspective of someone who’s walked this path himself. A proud gay dad, he and his husband built their family through egg donation and surrogacy, welcoming twins in 2013. Their journey involved fertilizing donated eggs with embryos from both partners, a thoughtful process that allowed them to build a family that reflected them both biologically and emotionally. Dr. Escobar recalls the legal and emotional complexities of the process—from working with an egg donor and a surrogate, to securing parental rights after birth—and how it forever shaped his approach to patient care. His experience reaching out for fertility services as a member of the LGBTQ+ community adds profound empathy and purpose to the care he provides. He is also fluent in Spanish, ensuring Spanish-speaking intended parents feel fully supported throughout their journey.

Dr. Haas, a longtime practitioner in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and a member of the LGBTQ+ community himself, shares a deep commitment to patient-centered, inclusive care. Together with Dr. Escobar, he co-founded CFC with a clear and shared vision: to make fertility care more compassionate, personalized, and affirming—especially for queer families.
Dr. Tiffanny Jones, the third doctor of this practice, brings her own deep commitment to inclusive care. Dr. Jones is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist known for her compassionate, patient-centered care; she specializes in IVF, fertility preservation, and third-party reproduction. Recognized by D Magazine as a “Best Doctor” multiple years in a row, Dr. Jones is committed to guiding all patients—including those in the LGBTQ+ community—through their unique path to parenthood with warmth and expertise.

Today, the CFC team reflects that vision in action Nurse practitioner Amy Mohon, who identifies as LGBTQ+ and is a parent to four children through known sperm donor insemination, adds even more lived experience to the team. Embryologist Erin Woods is also a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, while Denisse Espinoza, their Patient Liaison, has been a gestational carrier twice herself. This is a team that doesn’t just serve the LGBTQ+ community—they’re part of it!
Since opening in 2018, CFC has helped single parents, same-sex couples, and trans and nonbinary individuals access IVF, third-party reproduction, fertility preservation, egg donation, and more. With each journey, their mission remains clear: to make parenthood possible for everyone who dreams of it.
